A surge absorber is an electronic component designed to protect electronic devices from abnormal voltage (surges) that occurs instantaneously. By connecting a surge absorber at the entrance of a circuit, it allows only the abnormal high voltage to be grounded instantly, thereby protecting the components on the circuit side from surges that invade through power lines or communication lines.
